Router-based CNC cutting of polystyrene
NEON.BG has the equipment to cut polystyrene.
Polystyrene is a polymer made from the monomer styrene, a liquid hydrocarbon produced industrially from petroleum. At room temperature, polystyrene is a solid thermoplastic with an amorphous structure, but it can be melted and re-solidified at higher temperatures. Pure solid polystyrene is a colorless, rigid plastic with limited flexibility, and it can be molded with fine detail. It's inexpensive and used to make toy building blocks, plastic cutlery and many other products where a relatively rigid, low-cost, colorable plastic is suitable.
