PVC — polyvinyl chloride, also called vinyl — combines chlorine and ethylene into a material with an exceptionally hard, glossy surface and core. It's considered a versatile material because it can be blended with additives such as lubricants, foaming agents, pigments, plasticizers and stabilizers before the final product is formed. These additives are non-toxic and enable the production of a wide range of materials used in everyday life. PVC offers weather, corrosion and chemical resistance, low heat release, impact resistance and excellent electrical insulation. PVC sheets are widely used in advertising, most commonly for signage, information boards and exhibition stands.
