Stud Welding
Stud welding is a technique similar to flash welding, in which a fastener or specially shaped nut is welded onto another metal part, typically a base metal or backing plate. Weld nuts typically have a flange with small projections that melt to form the weld. Welding studs are used in stud welding systems.
