Grinding and deburring of parts

After laser cutting, many parts need additional processing to become cleaner, safer and better prepared for the next production steps. We offer machine grinding and deburring of sheet metal parts up to 600 mm wide and 0.5 to 80 mm thick.

The process improves edge quality, reduces the need for manual finishing, and prepares parts for bending, welding, painting or direct assembly. Processing is most often done with P240-grit abrasive, though depending on the material and desired result, other grits can be used as well.

We have suitable abrasives for mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and for certain applications, acrylic as well. Grinding transparent acrylic can produce an even matte effect, close to a satin finish.

Smaller parts can remain on the skeleton sheet after laser cutting and be ground simultaneously, which allows for more reliable feeding through the machine, better repeatability, and more efficient processing of many pieces at once.

Grinding usually follows directly after laser cutting or CNC milling, preparing the part for bending, welding or painting.
